The Action Starts Sunday at the 2015 TBI Conference

The 2015 North American Triathlon Business International Industry Conference starts Sunday in sunny Marina del Rey, CA, where the “Business of Triathlon Will Get Done.” Networking, news and information, job offers, business development, mergers and acquisitions, and some fun are all part of the 5th annual conference. The weather promises to be Southern California spectacular with blue skies and 80o temperatures. Registration is still open.

TBI Announces “Triathlete’s Choice” Event Finalists

TBI announced the finalist events that were voted by triathletes as the “Triathlete’s Choice” best events in each of six categories. More than 830 voters from around the world participated in the nomination process. Now it’s time for triathletes to declare their choice for the very best in each category. The voting link is Voting closes on Tuesday, January 13th.

Three New Speakers Round-out the TBI Conference Keynote List

Three new speakers have been added to the lineup of keynote speakers for the Jan. 25-27, 2015, 5th Annual Triathlon Business International Conference in Marina del Rey, CA: Gary Roethenbaugh, founder of Multisport Research; Christian Toetzke, CEO, Lagardère Unlimited Events; and Matthew Le Veque, Sr. Vice President, Rogers|Finn Partners and associate professor at USC’s Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism.

TBI today announced it is taking submissions for the best published triathlon article and photo of the year, and the Ron Smith Award recognizing a man or woman who best demonstrates a combination of strong moral character and professionalism in the sport of triathlon and as an individual.

The opening keynote address on Sunday afternoon of the 2015 TBI conference will be an in-depth interview by Slowtwitch Editor Dan Empfield of Felix Walchsöffer, CEO of the Challenge Family of events. Monday morning will open with a keynote by Scott Brown, president of Universal Sports Network, broadcast rights owner of the ITU World Triathlon Series.

TBI’s Triathlon Pavilion Consumes 25,000 sq.ft. at 2014 Interbike

The Triathlon Pavilion footprint at Interbike for 2014 expanded to 25,000 sf – up 15,000 sf over the past two years – and it will be packed with two days of workshops; a “Pinot & Pints” reception on Wednesday evening sponsored by De Soto Sport; a Thursday morning Jet Fuel Coffee Station sponsored by Ashworth Awards; a special announcement by IRONMAN CEO Andrew Messick on Wednesday at 12 noon; plus the opportunity for discounted registration for the 2015 Triathlon International Conference in Marina del Rey in January.
