Finalists for Most Innovative Triathlon Product Announced by TBI Author: Jan Fambro Date: 02/05/2013 ORANGE, CA – February 5, 2013 – In the run-up to Triathlon Business International’s 3rd annual conference Feb. 10 – 12 in San Diego, today the organization announced the finalists for the 2012 Most Innovative Product award. The winner will be announced and presented with a specially-designed crystal award from TBI member Ashworth Awards at the TBI/Active Network Awards Celebration dinner taking place Monday evening at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. Nominations were solicited from retailers across the country and finalists were selected based on award criteria by a panel of TBI founding members, board members and representatives of the general membership. |

Finalists for Male and Female Ron Smith Triathlete of the Year Announced Author: Jan Fambro Date: 02/04/2013 ORANGE, CA – February 4, 2013 – Triathlon Business International (TBI), an industry organization dedicated to promoting the sport and the business of triathlon, today announced the finalists for its Ron Smith Triathlete of the Year Award. The male and female winner will be announced at the TBI/Active Network Awards Celebration dinner that will take place during TBI’s 3rd annual conference Feb. 10 – 12 in San Diego. The award, named after one of triathlon’s earliest pioneers, recognizes a male and female triathlete who best demonstrate a combination of strong moral character, athletic performance and professionalism in the sport of triathlon. The award acknowledges triathletes who are not only strong competitors, but also are a role model to all; and who help promote the sport and pave the way for future triathletes. |

Don Catlin M.D. and Oliver Catlin Added to Drug Policy Panel at TBI Conference Author: Jan Fambro Date: 02/01/2013 ORANGE, CA – February 1, 2013 – Triathlon Business International (TBI), an industry organization dedicated to promoting the sport and the business of triathlon, today announced the addition of father/son team Don Catlin M.D. and Oliver Catlin to the Rules, Regulations and Drug Policies panel as part of TBI’s 3rd annual conference Feb. 10 – 12 in San Diego. They will join panel members Michellie Jones, professional triathlete and world champion, and Charlie Patten, owner of Revolution3 Triathlon. The panel will be moderated by Mike Reilly, vice president of Active Network and “Voice of Ironman.” |

Interbike and Triathlon Business International Strengthen Alliance Author: Jan Fambro Date: 01/10/2013 SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. – January 10, 2013 – Interbike, the largest bicycle industry trade show in North America, today announced steps to strengthen their relationship in 2013 with Triathlon Business International (TBI), the leading coalition of industry leaders dedicated to promoting the sport and the business of triathlon. Both companies agreed on several action items to help promote the sport of triathlon at the IBD Summit, the TBI Conference and Interbike 2013. The joint initiatives include expanding the successful 2012 Triathlon Pavilion at Interbike 2013, partnering on Interbike’s 2013 IBD Summit and Interbike’s sponsorship of the 2013 TBI annual conference Feb. 10-13 in San Diego. |
